Therapies
Change doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen.
How I Work
I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard.
There’s no pressure to say the “right” thing. You can go at your own pace, and we’ll work together to understand what’s going on for you.
I use a mix of approaches, depending on what you need.
Person-Centred Counselling
(A space to talk and be understood)
This is at the heart of how I work.
It’s about giving you a safe, non-judgemental space to talk about whatever is on your mind.
You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t even need to know where to start.
Over time, this helps you:
Feel more understood (by yourself and others)
Make sense of your thoughts and emotions
Build confidence and self-trust
Feel more like yourself again
Solution-Focussed Therapy
(Practical support to help you move forward)
Sometimes you don’t just want to talk—you want things to change.
This approach focuses on:
What’s already working in your life
Small, realistic steps forward
Helping you feel more in control
You won’t be stuck analysing the past forever.
We’ll also look at how to make things better now.
Rewind Therapy
(Gentle support for trauma, PTSD, phobias, and distressing memories)
Rewind Therapy is a safe and structured way to help reduce the impact of traumatic or distressing memories.
It’s often used for:
Trauma or PTSD
Intrusive memories or flashbacks
Nightmares
Anxiety linked to past experiences
Specific Phobias
You don’t have to talk through the details of what happened if you don’t want to.
Instead, we use a gentle technique that helps your brain “reprocess” the memory, so it feels less overwhelming.
Many people find that:
The memory becomes less intense
Triggers feel more manageable
They feel calmer and more in control
We will always go at your pace, and you stay in control throughout.
A Blend of Approaches
I often combine different approaches, so you get:
Space to talk and feel heard
Practical tools to cope and move forward
Targeted support if you’re dealing with trauma
This means therapy can adapt to you—whether you need support, clarity, or change.
What Therapy Can Help With
You don’t need a “big” reason to come to therapy.
People come to me when they feel:
Overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck
Low in mood or lacking motivation
Caught in repeating patterns
Struggling after difficult or traumatic experiences
Unsure about relationships or life direction
Like something just doesn’t feel right
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
Next Steps
If you’re not sure whether therapy is right for you, that’s completely okay.
