Is counselling right for me?
Life can sometimes be a challenge and we end up feeling overwhelmed, confused and not knowing where to turn. Sometimes we can feel alone, even when there are family and friends around. It can feel hard to talk to them honestly about what is going on, especially if you are worried that you will upset them or that you will be judged or misunderstood.

This is where counselling can really help. Counselling give you a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space with someone trained to really listen. This can help make sense of things and see things more clearly. It can clear your head so you can work out what you need to move forward.
Some people seek counselling because they want to make change or simply want to feel at peace with where they are in life. This may be related to what is happening right now, or something that happened in the past. Whatever it is, the counselling space is where you can work through the challenges you are experiencing. I trained in a person-centred approach, first developed by Carl Rogers. At the heart of this is the belief that you’re the expert on your own life. With the right support you will find your own answers. The ‘right support’ is often a caring, empathic and non-judgemental counsellor. I tailor the sessions to your needs, drawing on other theories and approaches as needed.
I offer counselling online only at present. In-person counselling will be available from 2026..
